  6. Toby Keith can definitly suck it. Every time he makes a little advertisement about how many people are over there serving our country, all I can think is:

"What the fuck? I see no disability..."

  7. Perhaps he could enlist with Joe the Plumber. They could be BFF. z

  8. They can send Kid Rock and Dale E. Jr. also.

  9. A drugstore cowboy with a band, an unlicensed plumber, a race car driver that cashed in on his dad's name...I give the insurgency six weeks before it crumbles in the face of this red-blooded patriotism. z

  11. Joe is probably waiting to recover from the results of that home waxing kit.

  12. You have very funny readers. There are those who hold Joe the Plumber in very high esteem. I shall soon go out and turn over a few rocks and see if I can find any. As for the other 2 - why cash in on "patriotism"? Glad I have a barf bucket handy at all times. Take care and do all you can. Love Lorraine

  15. Why does Obama want to take away free healthcare for wounded soldiers and make them pay for it? It don't seem right.

  16. Suspect, I have a cousin that's on his third tour. Everytime I talk to him he talks about how he needs great NCOs. This sucks for you, but be that guy if you have to go. Be that guy that is the glue, the one that tells the others to shut the fuck up when they complain. Tell them about the shit you delt with, tell them how you know it could be worse. And when you get back, you'll always have a place to crash on my couch, and I'll buy the first 10 drinks, well that or however many it takes for you to forget you got stop loss'd.

  17. DUDE but what about this that was just released today....???? Doesn't apply?
End to stop loss announced by the DOD...

  18. Take deep breath and tell us what is going on, Suspect!

  19. Throw money at 'em - that will stop the bitching - now won't it?? Why does our f*cking government think that they can just toss on pile of $$$$$ and that will shut our guys and gals up. Give each soldier what the AIG guys got and maybe that's enough. Rather see my hard earned $$$ go to the guys/gals in boots on the ground than to the G-d knows what kind of incompetents on Wall street. That's my take for what it's worth. Lorraine

  20. Is the going rate for stop loss $500 extra pay a month?

  21. I know it's not what you signed up for, and the powers that be have FINALLY figured out that StopLoss is a BAD idea. BUT, it looks like you're in it for one more year at the longest. You're really smart. Do you think you can give us a little bit more of your insight? I know that you want to go to college, but we really need you here, now, to give us your perspective, your insight. Maybe you can make a DIFFERENCE in what's going on now... You're very articulate.

  22. hey you above me... shut up..... hey suspect, im not going to pat you on the back and tell you how great you are and how smart you sound when you write.... pick up you shit and go to work...no one really gives a fuck that your sad...all they care about is if you would and can keep entertaining them.... being stop loss sucks... deal with it.... hey atleast at this point you still have all your limbs..... long story short, if stop loss is the worst thing that happens to you.... i think your doing alright....

  23. Wow, to the dude above ME, way to be a judgemental ASS in your wording, but ultimately, I agree that all some of these people want is something to read while they sit at their normal boring jobs.

  24. Suspect,

Git yer ass back to Iraq before they call me back. You rolled the dice and YOU lost bitch.

    Deal with it.

    Anonymous...lol

  25. Well played, Anon.

Nught, I wish there were more people like you in the Army. A LOT more. Cuz then I probably wouldn't be.

Nowhere in my contract did it say I have to like it. It just said I have to do it. And for the record--oh wait, gotta go. Soup is ready.

  26. hi again....

i guess i am a judgemental ass.... but i think ive earned the right to be....

there is only three ways the army will keep their numbers up during a time of war.... stop loss, activating inactive reserve, and the draft.... lets examine these for a minute...

the draft... this is the last resort. after what happened with vietnam, i dont think the government really wants to travel this route...
this is the worst option of the three...

stop loss... keep soldiers in past their ets and after the deployment let them out... what does this do for the army... it keeps trained soldiers in the ranks during war, keeps experience and knowledge up, and thier not pulling you into something that your not use to.....

inactive reserve..... can you imagine getting out of the army suspect.... getting a great job making great money..... you buy a house and a nice new car.... you grow out your beard and get fat... you just live the good life... then one day 1 year 2 years down the road you get a letter in the mail.... it has a big DOD label on it... you open it and it says... suspect, you have been activated, report to ft. bragg by this date....

thats what happens with activating inactive reserve.... that to me would be far worse then being stop lossed..... not only that but i think a soldier who is stop lossed is a little more qualifed then someone who has been out of the army for a year or two... if we stop stop loss like everyone wants us too, then the army is then going to have to lean on the only other two options they have... inactive reserve and the draft.... they wont do the draft unless they have no other way.... so inactive reserve call ups will go thru the roof....

stop loss is a necessary beast... it sucks for those who get snagged by it, but its the best thing the army can do.... do i think stop loss is perfect as is... NO.... it could be tweaked in some places but the policy needs to stay.....

now before you get all defensive and start trying to come up with more then the three options, think about it..... bro im a lifer... this enlistment takes me to 8 years after that i have 12 years and i can cash in.... i have a wife and three kids.... it makes the most sense for me and my family..... but i fucking hate the army.... ive read some of your post and i feel alot of the same shit you feel... i think the same way on alot of issues and i can relate in alot of ways... but im a lifer and your a short timer..... your getting out... SOMEDAY..... fuck man, FTA, just do what you have to do, come home safe and get the fuck out.... thats all that you can do....

this last bit is for all you fags who have never served... HOTEL MIKE NOVEMBER..... NUGHT OUT.....

  27. hello, Hotel Mike,
I found your analysis interesting. Couple things regarding reinstating the draft: I think the powers that be are side-stepping that one for a few reasons. I am convinced that should the draft be reinstated, women will also be called, and that is a can of worms no one wants to open. Another thing, a military of volunteers acts a lot different than one that's been drafted from the general population. By that, I mean that a "chief executive" would have a lot harder time using the military to swing pipe as a tool for foreign policy and maintaining broad-based popular support at home. I think that was why stop loloss was picked. No politician is ready to call for the draft.
    Take it easy! z

  28. At least be glad there are those who support you, how would you like it if you came home and got the vietnam vet returining home?
