I've explored all avenues and options, gave them all serious considerations, and decided that the smartest thing I could do is take action before this stop-loss thing becomes more official.
Hopefully you're sitting down. If you aren't, you might want to rethink your computer setup.
I re-enlisted for three years today.
Yeah yeah yeah, say what you want. I got a really good deal. 25 large. We're going to do the ceremony before close of business today. I'll post doctored/blurry pics as soon as I'm done.

You know I'm not surprised Suspect. Not in the least. Congratulations. Squirrel the 25 large away. All the very best to your future endeavours.
ReplyDeleteOf course I could be a victim of: Conflicker C - April 1st Internet Alert. Target: All users of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
ReplyDeleteApril Fool?????????
ReplyDeletehey, me too.
ReplyDeletebut I only got 8k.
hmmmm... it is April 1. and, 25 sounds like a lot.
ReplyDeleteBut still, I tend to believe you.
Thank you. You may have stopped me from getting recalled. Now get your ass over to one of the theaters and finish it off so I won't get recalled in the future.
ReplyDeleteApril Fool to you too, buddy.
ReplyDeleteIf this is for real hopefully it was at least to go somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteDude, does this prevent IRR risk for you later on?
ReplyDeleteHappy April Fools to you, too, Suspect!
ReplyDeleteCompletely OT: What's with the Google content warning? When did they start a nanny state?
ReplyDeleteholy crap are you being serious?
ReplyDeleteWTF are you smoking??? Whatever it is, I don't want any. z
ReplyDeletei cant decide if your joking or not......
ReplyDeleteOfficially April Fool's is over now Suspect, so you can come clean with us now. :P
ReplyDelete"well...why not?"
ReplyDeletebecause, if you waited a few, it'd be tax free...
also, I can provide a plethora of excuses for the not, but I don't think you need it. seems your list might be bigger. also seems I'm not very good at jokes myself. maybe I'm too serious.
April Fools. Idiot!
ReplyDeleteAfter all I've read, it was a surprise.
ReplyDeleteYou joined the Army,
You lived, you learned,
You joined the Army.
you know suspect, i reflected on your post for about 30 minutes before i came to a few absolutions.... im now 99% convinced that this post is an april fools hoax and heres why.....
ReplyDelete1) you didnt ponder this idea at all... i would have SUSPECTed you to take your time with suck a decision.... i think if you were thinking about it honestly, you would have voiced that here in some form.... even if it were just to test the waters... also you would have know that there wasnt any hurry to seal the deal....
2) "decided that the smartest thing I could do is take action before this stop-loss thing becomes more official".
i really dont see how this would be smarter.... i would think it to be counter productive to your overall intent.... you want out of the army with every fiber of your being.... so why would 2 more years on top of the year of stop loss be productive to that cause..... on top of that, i dont see the need or understand why taking action before stop loss would benefit you in anyway...
3) now this is the big one... the selling point.... i think in your haste to make an april fools post you made a mistake that a non first-termer should pick up on.... you claim a 25K bonus first off.... if im not mistaking that 3K over the max for a reenlistment in the A zone.... another thing i know you would have considered is that by reuping, you gave away your 500 extra a month ( which in a year is 6K )... that would have bring your bonus down to 19K for two extra years.... moreover the max 22K ( which i believe its at right now ) is reserved for 6 year reenlistments... there's no way you can get 25K for 3 years... thats not happening....
so in conclusion, i liked the attempt... i just know its not true.... now i look forward to your next post so that i can get back on track with the FTA ideaology.....
your friend NUGHT
how about the fuzzy/doctored picture?
